In theater class, 6th graders  performed a Commedia delle ‘Arte show this week. They have previously studied Plautus and Roman Stock Characters: the clever servant, the bossy mother, the helpless adolescent and braggart soldier. Commedia delle ‘Arte is a 500 year-old tradition of improvisation among fun, recognizable characters like the sassy maid, the greedy old man, the quack doctor and braggart soldier. Students developed brief skits based on these behaviors with the help of their teacher Mr. Baldwin.
