Sophomore MK Wilson was admitted to the Urban Journalism Workshop. This program, held at American University and at NPR, offers the opportunity for high school students the chance to produce their own radio, print, or video news piece for publication on NPR. The program is in its 32nd year and is sponsored by the Washington Association of Black Journalists. Wilson is the editor-in-chief of the WLPCS school newspaper, Sumus Leones.
