Students in the Literature and Composition AP class will be visiting New York City this week to tour the Morgan Library and Museum for the Mary Shelley exhibit honoring the 200th anniversary of the publication of Frankenstein. The exhibit titled “It’s Alive! Frankenstein at 200” will feature artifacts including comic books, film posters, publicity stills, and movie memorabilia and portions of the original manuscript. Students will view historic scientific instruments and iconic artwork such as Henry Fuseli’s Nightmare, a six-sheet poster advertising the Boris Karloff movie in 1931. Later students will also attend a guided tour of the New York Public Library and the Strand book store for an exciting literary adventure.
