Seniors Alex Hagan and Serena Jones have been awarded a four-year, full-tuition scholarship through the Posse Foundation.  Hagan will attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Jones will attend Bucknell University. Posse is a program for nearly 40 colleges to award ten students full-tuition scholarships. By bringing a “posse” of students in together each year through this program, these colleges hope to improve their overall retention and persistence rates as well as diversity on their campuses. Washington Latin graduates who won scholarships through posse include Fariss Nabih (2012), who attended Bucknell and Anaka Osborne (2012), who attended Pepperdine. Desmond Miller (2013) attends Lafayette. Olivia Boyd (2015) attends Lafayette College, and Maddie Galvez (2015) attends Bucknell University. Conor Moore (2016) is a freshman at Bucknell. Senior Hamadi Brewer was also a finalist for the Posse scholarship.
