Come Fly With Me

Ms. Shapiro’s AP Physics students will take part in their annual field trip to the flight park iFly this Friday. The unique vertical wind tunnel that allows students to experience the feeling of flight also lets them evaluate what forces are at work on objects in the wind tunnel, and when are they balanced and unbalanced. They can also assess how objects surface area affects velocity and can predict how fast a ball will fly in the wind tunnel. They are excited to let their understanding of physics take flight!
