The Middle School Cross Country team participated in the DCPCSAA Early Birds Meet last week. The girls’ team won their meet, edging out Basis by having 4 girls place in the top 10 finishers. They were Abby Hawkinson, Lola Orlove Rodriguez, Lily Edwards, and Cassie Downs. The boys came in third behind Basis and DCI with strong performances by Lucas Rohde, who won the race overall by nearly two minutes. Other strong runners included Will Batkin, Preston Orlander, and Maccabi Epstein. The team is coached by math teacher Mr. O’Brien and Latin teacher Mr. Starnes.
