Students in Ms. Jost’s Scientific Research Methods class visited the Children’s National Hospital Research Week. They saw various research presentations, learning about everything from the impact of various methods of surgery to the impacts of concussions on mental health. Engineers, doctors and researchers shared their research studies, including their methodology and results. For students, this was an exciting chance to see how important research is in the medical field and to help prepare for showcasing their semester-long research projects. You can see an interview of senior Miranda Ryan at the event here.
