New Student Enrollment

1. Complete the pre-enrollment form (new students only!) – please see your email for the form link.
2. Create a PowerSchool parent account and add your child to your account.
3. Complete the seven enrollment forms in PowerSchool, plus three more for new students. You upload documents as part of this process.
4. Our team will review your submission and confirm that you have completed all forms and uploaded documentation.
5. After our review process is complete, we will send you an email confirmation that your child’s seat is reserved for next year. For new students, we also mark them as enrolled in the MySchoolDC database, which will be confirmed via automatic email.
6. Our enrollment team will then conduct a detailed review of all forms. They will contact you if we need any additional information before the start of school.

If your child received a match through the MySchoolDC lottery, enrollment is due by May 1.

• All forms and documentation must be completed and submitted by May 1 to secure your child’s seat for next year.
• If you need assistance with enrollment or an extension, please contact us!
• If you know that you will not enroll your child at Washington Latin, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer that seat to a child on our waitlist.

If we extend a waitlist offer through the MySchoolDC (MSDC), your notification will indicate a deadline (generally five days after the offer is made). We will also contact you directly and we may provide a slightly different deadline, depending on when the offer is extended.

We open re-enrollment after new student enrollment begins (later in April).

• If you have both a new Latin student AND a re-enrolling student (or more than one), you may complete all your children’s enrollment forms as soon as new student enrollment opens.
