Washington Latin turns 20 in June 2026! Celebrate this milestone with us in a series of spring parties and a big anniversary gala on June 13!

We have a lot to celebrate! This year marks our 20th as a public charter school, now with two campuses and over 1,200 students from across DC. We have moved the Anna Julia Cooper Campus to its permanent home on the reimagined campus of the former Kirov Academy of Ballet, which we purchased in 2022.

As our enrollment grows, so does our community. Nearly 1,000 graduates of our 14 graduating classes are out in the world. Some have come back to us as members of our faculty, now working alongside some of their former teachers. We have celebrations for our families at both campuses – Fall Festival and Multicultural Night, and Bacchanalia are open to all at Latin and welcome hundreds coming together each year.

Bacchanalia

Spring events hosted by families

Bacchanalia is a series of parent-hosted themed parties that benefit Latin. Any Washington Latin parent/guardian can sign up for any party, making a donation to Washington Latin in lieu of purchasing a ticket.
