¡Una celebración de la herencia hispana y latina! We are excited to announce our first fair at Cooper to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month – October 14, 3:10-4:00 pm in the Cooper MPR!
Our Spanish classes will be putting together eclectic and engaging projects to explore and appreciate Latino and Hispanic cultures in the US and around the world. We invite all students, families, and friends to join us the afternoon of October 14th from 3:10-4:00 pm in the MPR to appreciate, learn, and celebrate these rich cultures with us. Come see the different projects our Spanish students have completed. They are eager to show you! You can look forward to food, music, and more!
We are also excited to use this event as a time to raise money for a D.C. organization that is directly supporting our local Latino community. During this fair, there will be a bake-sale to raise money to donate to support this organization, so please bring some cash! We are seeking parent volunteers to bring baked goods to supply this fundraiser. Please reach out to Isaiah Perkins (iperkins@latinpcs.org) if you are interested in supporting this effort.
See you all there!
