Your child’s health and safety is our number one priority. As such, we want to remind you to please refrain from sending your child to school with medication in their bag, whether it’s over the counter or prescription.
In accordance with regulations set by the Department of Health, all medication, with the exception of students whose doctor’s orders specify that they may carry their medicine on their person (epi-pens, asthma inhalers, e.g.), must be attached to a doctor’s form and must be kept within the health suite at all times to ensure that the medicine be safely administered.
If you need to send your child to school with any sort of medication, you must first complete a doctor’s form, which you can pick up from the front desk, or find a digital copy in the button below. You must then hand off the medication on campus to a qualified DC Health or Latin staff member, along with the completed paperwork. Once that person receives your child’s form and medication, we will distribute the proper dosage at the appropriate time to them in the Health Suite.
