Cooper Homecoming Week 2025

Share

During the week of October 20th, the Cooper Campus will be hosting its inaugural Homecoming week. Read about the activities and festivities taking place during the school days, and then the Friday night dance for our 9th graders!

For our first Homecoming at Cooper, we will celebrate the Cooper Upper School and especially our student athletes. And, like any Homecoming, we will honor our alumni with special moments for the Washington Latin graduates who are now members of the Cooper faculty.  We have a variety of activities planned for the week, including some for the entire campus and others focused on our 9th graders. There will be more announcements to come, but here we share two of the main events for the week.

Homecoming Pageant

When & Where

Wednesday 10/22 in the MPR, more details to follow

Our Homecoming Pageant will be an opportunity for 9th grade students who would like to be considered for Homecoming Court. This will be a ticketed event, open to all Cooper students and families, with all proceeds going towards the Homecoming Dance. The Court will be announced at the Homecoming Dance that Friday.

Homecoming Dance

When & Where

Friday 10/24 from 7:00-9:00 pm, MPR

Homecoming Week will culminate with our inaugural Homecoming Dance for 9th graders, who will get to vote on the theme for the dance between October 6-10.  The Dance will take place in the MPR on Friday starting at 7:00 pm. We will have our favorite DJ providing the dance music, and dinner will also be provided.

For both events, ticket and guest application information will be shared with ninth graders soon!

How can families help?

Students have been invited to join the event planning committee to share your ideas to enhance the experience. We also invite families to volunteer to help set up, clean up, or provide food and beverages.

More information to come on how to help with these events!
