Registration for non-competitive sports options, available for students in grades 7-12 at both campuses, opens on Friday, March 20 at 4:00 pm.
Students in grades 7-12 are eligible to participate in these non-competitive classes for wellness and sports credit. We offer a range of options, but enrollment is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Weightlifting @ 2nd Street Campus
Introduction to weightlifting fundamentals including circuit training, flexibility, cardio, endurance, and powerlifting. Emphasis on proper technique, overall fitness, and lifelong wellness. Athletic or gym wear required.

Fencing @ Cooper Campus
An engaging hour-long class introducing fencing fundamentals including footwork, blade control, rules, and strategy in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. The goal is to build foundational skills and prepare students for a future Washington Latin fencing team.

Skateboarding @ 2nd Street Campus
Skateboarders will learn beginner, intermediate, and advanced tricks. No prior experience necessary. Basic gym or athletic wear required, along with skateboard, knee and elbow pads and a helmet!

Hip-Hop Dance Class @ 2nd Street Campus
A wellness dance class welcoming all experience levels. Students will learn choreography, collaborate creatively, and develop original student-led pieces. The long-term goal is to grow into a full dance team performing at school events. No prior dance experience required. Athletic or gym wear required.

Senior Step Challenge @ 2nd Street Campus
A wellness option designed for seniors to earn athletic credit before graduation. Students will track daily steps using a smartwatch or smartphone over a 30-day period. Devices are available if needed. Goal: 200,000 total steps by the end of the challenge, with weekly check-ins to review progress.
