In less than two weeks, our entire community is invited to experience the world of cultures represented in our community.
Multicultural Night is fast approaching! The purpose of this celebration is simple: bring together our community to share our traditions with each other.
Everyone is welcome!
Sign up to participate as a presenter, performer or volunteer to help with set up and clean up. You may also want to bring a dish from your culture to share. Read more and sign up!
Details and reminders
- Display boards are available for any presenter. These are available for families to pick up at the Cooper front desk and 2nd Street in the External Affairs office near the front office (room 105b).
- Please note that there is no on-campus parking at the Cooper Campus, but we have secured spaces at the O’Boyle lot at Catholic University, a five-minute walk from campus (see this map).
- We ask that you not park in front of our neighbors’ homes nor in spaces they have cleared of snow and are being held with chairs, furniture, cones, etc.
- Public transit is a great option! Metro’s D74 bus running between Rhode Island Avenue and Foggy Bottom stops within a block of campus and connects with the Georgia Avenue Metro on the Green line and the Brookland Metro on the Red line.
- We will have an advisory attendance competition for a pizza party, just like last year. There will be a winning advisory in each middle school grade at each campus, and one winning upper school advisory from all grades 9-12 at both campuses. Students need to check in at the welcome desk to have their attendance recorded and counted for this competition.
- Community service hours will be available for Upper School students. Please ask students who are interested to send an email to familyengagement@latinpcs.org. Student volunteer options include:
- Event set-up: 3:00 – 5:00 pm
- International food only table: 5:30 – 8:00 pm
- Welcome table: 5:00 – 8:00 pm
- Clean up and close down: 7:30 – 9:00 pm
