Cooper Homecoming Week 2025

Share

UPDATED: During the week of November 3-7, the Cooper Campus will be hosting its inaugural Homecoming week. Read about the activities and festivities taking place during the school days, and then the Friday night dance for our 9th graders!

We are excited to share some details with you about our Homecoming celebrations at Cooper for this year!

We are thrilled to be able to celebrate our Cooper Upper School athletes and create ways for all members of the community to join in and get involved.

There will be 9th grade advisory activities happening through the week culminating in a Homecoming Court Pageant and a Homecoming Dance. See details below!!

Wednesday, November 5 – Homecoming Pageant

The Homecoming Pageant from 6:00 to 7:30 pm on Wednesday evening, will give the Homecoming Court contestants the opportunity to showcase their stuff as they vie for the titles: Royal Highness, Majesty, or Monarch. We will also celebrate our Upper School athletes during this event!

The Pageant will be open to the entire Cooper Community and everyone present will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite Court contestants and get some sweet and savory treats at the Community Council’s bake sale!

This will be an RSVP/ticketed event ($3 entry for kids, $5 for adults), and all proceeds will go towards Homecoming and future Community Council/Student events.

Look out for more details on how to RSVP and reserve your ticket!

Friday, November 7 – Homecoming Dance

Friday will be a dress down day with students wearing either cardinal or navy blue, depending on the ninth grade advisory they’ll be cheering on for that day’s  advisory activities (more on this).

On Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the MPR we will host a Homecoming Dance themed Midnight Garden (as decided upon by the 9th grade class). This dance will be open only to ninth graders, each of whom will have the opportunity to bring a (pre-approved) guest from outside of the community.

Fairy Godmother’s Closet – How you can support

We’re excited to start a Fairy Godmother’s Closet for our ninth graders to go thrifting for their Homecoming Dance! If you have any lightly used dresses, slacks, jackets, shirts, skirts or shoes you can part with, we’d welcome your donations! Start getting those items out of your closet so you can donate them to ours! More details to come from members of the PFA!!!
