According to the popular school information site, Niche, Washington Latin is at the top of the list in Washington, DC across important metrics.
We are not normally too focused on external rankings, but the recently announced Niche rankings are worth mentioning. We are proud to be at the top of key lists for a number of key metrics, including:
#1 K-12 School District in DC
With an overall grade of A+, we are proud to be listed at the top of the public school district list for Washington, ahead of DC Public Schools and other charter networks. We are at #132 out of 10,393 public school districts nationally, and Latin got top (A+) marks in academics, teachers, college prep, and administration.
#1 Public Middle School in DC
Our Middle School is also top ranked, again with A+ overall and A or A+ in academics, teachers, and diversity. We are at the top of both the DC charter middle school list (1 of 44) AND DC public middle schools overall (1 of 68). Nationally, we are #61 of 3,923.
#2 Public High School in DC
A+ overall and for our teachers, academics, and college prep, our Upper School is also ranked at the top of the public high schools in our city. We are also rated #1 in terms of the quality of our teachers.
