We know that many families begin making summer plans early, therefore we will begin registration in January after the winter break.
When is summer school?
Summer School will be held between two sessions from Monday, June 22 – Friday, July 24
- Session 1: June 22 – July 8
- Session 2: July 9 – July 24
*Please note that missing more than 1 class(for any reason) will result in not receiving credit.
Can anyone participate in a summer school course?
There are a few changes from past years of the summer school program that families should be aware of as we get closer to registration.
- Middle School summer school is invite only for students who need extra support in ELA and/or Math. Invitations will be determined by quarter grades and testing data. Middle school summer school will not have an open registration for all families. This is a new policy for 2nd Street.
- Upper School registration will be staggered by grade level to ensure priority is given to students who need courses to fulfill graduation requirements.
When can Upper School students register for summer school?
The window for Upper Schoolers registering for summer school will be:
- Rising 12th graders: January 12 – January 16
- Rising 11th graders: January 19 – January 23
- Rising 10th graders: January 26 – January 30
- Rising 9th graders: February 2 – February 6
