Juniors and seniors in Ms. Seid’s AP Literature class took part in the annual Jane Austen tea party. The event asks students to dress as a character from their reading, from Mr. Darcy to Mr. Bigley, to Mr. Wickham and Ms. Bennet. The class read Pride and Prejudice this year. Students are asked to act the part of the character, converse in their language, and show their values through dramatic play. By bringing characters from famous literature to life through performance and improvisation, the English department helps enrich students ability to interact with the texts they read.
