ANNOUNCEMENT: The Cooper Parent-Faculty Association is seeking a volunteers to serve this year as a grade representative (or grade rep) for the 5th grade. Read on to learn more!
To our new 5th grade families, WELCOME to Washington Latin! We are so excited to have you and your family join us on the adventure that is middle school! We hope that you will find our school, faculty, and community of parents and families welcoming and supportive.
One way you can help support our school and our families is to volunteer to be the second of our two 5th grade representatives to our parent-faculty association (PFA), Latin’s version of the PTA or PTO. Middle and high school PFA does not have the demands of elementary school room parents or PTA reps. Your primary duties are to share information with your parents and help out with some of the PFA-sponsored events. We have executive board meetings virtually once a month and alternate between in person and virtual general PFA meetings.
Please take a look at the PFA Explainer for more details on how the PFA is structured and operates. For our continuing volunteers, being a part of the PFA has been informative, enjoyable, and rewarding. We hope that you will consider volunteering to join us this year!
If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering for this role, please reach out to ajcpfapresident@latinpcs.org.
