ANNOUNCEMENT: Six international high school students are looking to be placed with host families in DC!
Each year, Washington Latin’s 2nd Street Upper School hosts exchange students from around the world through AFS-USA. Exchange students arrive in August and spend a school year in Washington DC, where they live with a host family and attend school while sharing their culture with us and taking ours back to their home country.
Could your family host a student?
We have received information about students from Turkey, Pakistan, Indonesia, Italy, and more. AFA students live with a family for a year, attending school alongside their American peers. The experience – for students and their host families – is life changing. We hope you will consider joining the many DC families who have hosted students.
(Note: if you know another family who might be interested, we can enroll the AFS student even if that family does not have a student at our school! This of course includes our Cooper families!)
If you are interested, please contact afsdchosting@gmail.com or visit the AFS-USA website.
