Day camp for students ages 8-14 will launch in summer 2026 at the Cooper Campus. See details below, and register your child today!

We’re thrilled that Washington Latin will offer summer camps for the first time ever in summer 2026! Our camps will run at the Cooper Campus and will be open to both Latin students and the broader DC community. We’re designing engaging, week-long experiences for elementary and middle school students that reflect the creativity, curiosity, and excellence you’ve come to expect from Latin.

We have added the descriptions of the weekly camps, along with other details below. Please check it out and let us know if you have questions.

Session Descriptions

Gymnastics (Ages 11–14)

This camp is designed for older campers who want to build strength, flexibility, and confidence through gymnastics. Participants will practice a variety of skills through structured activities, drills, and fun challenges. Campers will have opportunities to develop coordination and body awareness while working both independently and as part of a team in a supportive environment.

Cheerleading (Ages 8–10)

Campers will learn the basics of cheerleading through energetic activities that focus on movement, teamwork, and spirit. The camp includes simple cheers, motions, beginner stunts, and fun routines designed to build confidence and coordination. It’s a great way for younger campers to stay active while working together and having fun.

Cheerleading (Ages 11–14)

This camp offers older campers the chance to develop cheerleading skills through dynamic routines, teamwork activities, and creative movement. Participants will work on cheers, basic stunts, and choreography while building confidence and leadership. The focus is on collaboration, energy, and having fun while learning new skills.

Musical Theater Intensive (Ages 8–14)

Campers who enjoy performing will take part in a week-long musical theater experience focused on singing, acting, and movement. Throughout the week, participants will rehearse together as they learn songs, scenes, and choreography while building confidence and teamwork skills. The camp will culminate in a performance at the end of the week where campers can showcase what they have been working on for family and friends.

Explorer’s Camp (Ages 8–10)

This camp invites curious campers to explore the world around them through hands-on activities related to science and nature. Campers will engage in experiments, outdoor exploration, and discovery-based learning designed to spark curiosity and encourage observation. It’s a fun way to learn about nature while asking questions and trying new things.

Discovery Camp (Ages 11–14)

Designed for older campers with an interest in science and the natural world, this camp focuses on exploration, investigation, and hands-on learning. Campers will participate in activities that encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and discovery. Through engaging projects and outdoor experiences, participants will deepen their understanding of the world around them.

Lion’s Den (Ages 11–14)

Lion’s Den is a dynamic camp designed for older campers who want a little bit of everything. Each day brings a mix of activities that may include games, creative projects, indoor/outdoor fun, and team challenges. With something for everyone, campers can try new things, spend time with friends, and enjoy a variety of engaging experiences in a relaxed and fun environment.

The cost of the camp is $450 per each weeklong session, with a $50 discount for early registration and a lower rate for students enrolled at Washington Latin (either campus). Please see pricing details below for both camp and the before and aftercare program.
