Introducing a student mentoring program that connects 2nd Street Upper School students with our 5th and 6th graders!

We are starting a new mentoring program that brings together our youngest students at 2nd Street with their Upper School peers for fun, games, and great conversation. The program is designed to foster positive relationships between our Upper School and Middle School students. Whether they’re playing board games indoors or heading outside for basketball or soccer, the focus is on building connections and having fun together!

Any student can sign up and right now, we have plenty of capacity for more Middle Schoolers. While the program is currently aimed at students in grades 5 and 6, we also welcome 7th and 8th graders. This is a group mentoring program, so participating 5th and 6th grade “mentees” will have the opportunity to connect with several of our Upper School mentors.

This group meets every Wednesday from 2:10–3:00 pm in the MPR. Mentees are welcome to attend on the Wednesdays that fit their schedule, and they’re free to leave early if needed. Students who are registered for MAGIS can attend the mentoring program, then head to MAGIS until picked up.

To register or to ask questions, please contact Kat Freeman (kfreeman@latinpcs.org) or Janeysali Reyes (jreyes@latinpcs.org).
