Upper School Fall Sports Registration for both campuses of Washington Latin is now open!
At Washington Latin Public Charter School, we are proudly building a tradition of excellence in athletics—one rooted not only in competition, but in character, commitment, and community. This is an exciting time of year as our student-athletes return to the field, court, and track for another season of competition, growth, and school pride. With your continued support, we’ll provide meaningful opportunities for our students to compete, grow, and lead—on and off the field.
Registration for fall sports for students in grades 9-12 at both campuses of Washington Latin is live! With offerings like cross country, volleyball, and soccer, there are numerous options for athletic involvement. For more information about all the fall teams – including coaches, preseason, tryouts, and regular season practice schedules – please see below. Below that you will find the registration information.
Please note: any student who is not able to join the optional preseason practices should contact the coaches directly. Any student not able to attend the tryouts, particularly the week before school begins, should contact Bob Eleby El, የአትሌቲክስ ዳይሬክተር.

Registration Details
Fall sports registration will once again take place through the አርቢትር ስፖርት platform.
- Registration opens: Friday, August 15, 2025 at 2:00 pm
- Registration closes: Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 8:00 pm
- Please note: No late registrations will be accepted after the deadline to ensure fairness for all participants.

Important Reminders
All student-athletes must be registered through Arbiter Sports before participating in any team activity, including practices, conditioning, workouts, and tryouts.
Team-specific information such as coach contacts, tryout dates, and practice schedules are posted on the Athletics page of this website. Game schedules will be added to the team calendars once finalized.
No additional documents are required beyond the online registration. Once you’ve submitted your form, you will receive a confirmation email from Arbiter Sports.
Upper School Eligibility Requirements (Grades 9–12)
To participate, each student-athlete must meet the following criteria:
- Registration – A parent or guardian must complete the full Arbiter Sports registration.
- Physical Examination – A current District of Columbia Universal Health Certificate must be on file with the school. The student must be cleared to participate in competitive sports.
- Academic Eligibility – Student-athletes must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and be in good behavioral standing. Students who fall below expectations may be allowed to practice, but will not be eligible to compete.
- Residency Requirement – Students must meet residency requirements as defined in DCMR, Chapter 27.
