Many Washington Latin graduates are taking advantage of the chances to travel during college. Washington Latin 2014 graduate Vanessa Rodriguez has just been offered an internship this summer at Podcasts for Peace based in Managua, Nicaragua for the summer. Rodriguez, a junior at Mount Holyoke College, is currently studying abroad in Spain. No stranger to foreign travel, Rodriguez had to miss her high school graduation ceremony to travel to Doha, as one of 10 American teens selected to attend an Arabic program sponsored by Qatar Foundation International. Her class of 2014 classmate and fellow Mount Holyoke student Marissa Johnson is currently traveling in South Africa this year and 2014 graduate Kelly Rivera chose to study abroad in Italy at the University of Bologna during her junior year at Wesleyan. Meanwhile, class of 2015 graduate Emily Hall is planning to study filmmaking in Prague during her junior year at American University.
