Spooky and Kooky

Spooky and Kooky

This year the Community Council added new holiday traditions to the Middle School. Students took part in Halloween advisory door decorations during the day on Halloween. The spooky and kookiest door, earned a dress down.  Meanwhile, students were given the added privilege to wear crazy hats on Halloween. Finally the council posted more than a dozen riddles in the Middle School hallways in honor of the holiday that caps the month of October and the beginning of the second quarter of the school year.

Journeys Great and Small

On Tuesday the Honors English 12 class travelled to the Cambridge, MD to visit the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park and Visitor Center. The students earned ranger badges for their careful and thorough approach in viewing the exhibit. One major theme for the class this year is journeys, featuring voyages of all types, including of course the Underground Railroad to freedom.
